Look what came in the mail!

Wow!! Thank you very much to Linda and all the lovely ladies at A Muse! Also a big thank you to Geeta, Jennie, Rhonda and Michelle for all their hard work for the VMAA #2! Without the challenge there would be no prizes! I can't wait to play, I have had the clear circle frame set on my wish list for quite some time and the rectangle set is going to be so fun! I LOVE the pale pink chiffon cards, the color is just like a dream, with the coordinating pink ribbon! I am in the process of making my Mother's Day card and the pink ribbon is so applicable in so many ways! My Mom is in her 9th year of remission from Breast Cancer, and every year on Mother's day we participate in Race for the Cure! Go pink ribbons! Thank you, thank you, thank you again!

VMAA Challenge "Weekend Bonus"

I love to see Spring bulbs pop up outside, so when the weekend comes I like to be out and playing in the dirt. I recently uncovered all my tulip, daffodil, hyacinth and crocus buds only to have it SNOW on Friday night/Saturday morning! I really hope that they aren't too damaged. Why oh why does it have to snow at the end of April??? I am trying to console myself that even if I don't get as many Spring blooms I still have summer to look forward to! I'll have to plant and Endless Summer Hydrangea in hopes that Mother Nature pays attention to the name!

VMAA Challenge "Saturday Night Fever!"

I must have been getting a little slap happy and uber silly by this card. I had two options for my image picked out. The birdcage or the slip....so I went girly again and added ribbon and glitter to boot! I was already covered in glitter so why not play some more! I had so many naughty sentiments running through my mind, it is a good thing that I will have to keep them to the inside of the card. I think that the card reminds me of a "little black book" too!

This first picture is a bit blurry, and the second one is more of a close up.....

VMAA Challenge "Do The Hustle"

I took a little break on this card to dance around! But then I got down to business. I needed to make a thank you card and I had stayed away from my embellishments for too long. This card has ribbon, brads, prima flowers and I am sure glitter by default! Oh and the color pink, carried over from the previous challenge!

VMAA Challenge "Disco Ball"

Time to break out the GLITTER! I had a lot of fun trying to incorporate the simplicity of the previous challenge of letting the image be really strong and also utilizing glitter!

I had just read a quote that "Men aren't the only ones who need something beautiful on their arm."

VMAA Challenge "Let it Be"

Whisper words of wisdom, Let it be!

Finally posting my cards from last nights VMAA, which was so much fun!

The first challenge was to let the image speak for itself, no embelishments. I decided to start my cold April night off with a cup of good cheer!

Thought Process....

My initial attempt was not satisfactory, but when I looked at the card again today. I found new inspiration.

I decided to add more yellow and some ribbon. Of course ribbon always makes a card look better. And glitter, can't forget the powerful affects of a bit of sparkle!
